Urbana Park District will replace the PrairiePlay playground this year. Before the project begins, the park district will host one final PrairiePlay Play Date on February 24, 2024, from 1 – 2 p.m. Enter off of Windsor Road.
This event was supposed to take place the 17th but has been pushed to the 24th due to weather.
This is a chance for the community as an opportunity to come out and say goodbye to the existing play structure as we make way for the new structure that has been selected by the community. There will be hot chocolate, the Urvana mobile recreation van with games and prizes, music, pictures, and more.
The new playground will open later in 2024; however, we encourage everyone to come out to PrairiePlay to bid the playground farewell on February 17.
