The site navigation utilizes arrow, enter, escape, and space bar key commands. Left and right arrows move across top level links and expand / close menus in sub levels. Up and Down arrows will open main level menus and toggle through sub tier links. Enter and space open menus and escape closes them as well. Tab will move on to the next part of the site rather than go through menu items.

Governor Bruce Rauner’s office has informed Urbana Park District that the Anita Purves Nature Center’s Friendship Grove Nature Playscape won the Governor’s Hometown Award for environmental stewardship.

September 21-29 is national Take a Child Outside Week, and Urbana Park District is offering several programs to encourage families to get outside and experience nature.
As part of the community’s Welcoming Week, Urbana Park District will host an open house at Phillips Recreation Center, 505 W. Stoughton, on Wednesday, September 19, from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m.
